NICE guideline on type 2 diabetes in adults: management

NICE have released news of an upcoming review of management of type 2 diabetes in adults, and we are pleased to see that periodontal disease has finally been listed and recognised as a complication of type 2 diabetes.

They will be reviewing guidance on this for health professionals, patients and their families and we shall be involved in this as an active stakeholder. The Society will of course keep you informed of progress.
