Luigi Nibali wins Sir Wilfred Fish Research Award
Dr Luigi Nibali of the Eastman Dental Institute, UCL has been awarded the Sir Wilfred Fish Research Prize at the Autumn Scientific Meeting of BSP in London for his project 'NADPH oxidase polymorphism as a risk factor for
presence and severity of Periodontitis'. A Certificate of Merit was awarded to Dr V Tsakanika of Barts & The London, Queen Marys School of Medicine & Dentistry for her project 'Inhibition of cytokine production by low dose doxycycline in vitro'. All five research presentations were of an extremely high standard. Dr Nibali will be presented with his award at a future meeting of the Society.
