BSP UK Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Treatment of Periodontitis - lay flowchart
Continuing our mission to support our members, the wider dental community, patients and the public, we want to bring to your attention a new patient resource.
Following the 2020 workshops to review the European document entitled, “Treatment of Stage I-III Periodontitis – The EFP S3 Level Clinical Practice Guideline,” the BSP, with the kind support of Haleon, have created a lay flowchart for patients.
It was extremely important to the BSP to involve patients, who could present their important viewpoints in the Workshops. Members of the Patient Forum have also been involved in the process of creating the lay flowchart.
“As a member of the Patient Forum I was delighted to be asked to give feedback on a flow chart about the prevention and treatment of gum disease for patients. I think it is clearly written, informative and attractive. I fed back a few comments which were incorporated into the final version proving that our patient voice is heard, which makes it so worthwhile!”
