Asian Pacific Society of Periodontology 6th meeting, 4-6 November 2005 in Chennai, India.

On behalf of the Organising Committee of the 30th Annual Conference of the Indian Society of Periodontology, it is our privilege to welcome you to the city of Chennai. Immensely hospitable, enduringly traditional, educationally erudite and challengingly cosmopolitan all at the same time, Chennai has had the privilege of successfully hosting the ISP conference in the past, twice. Many members will recall fond memories of those events and it is the Organsing Committee's endeavour to rise to those expectations yet again. The Scientific Committee of the conference has put together a very distinguished program with acclaimed orators, experienced speakers and a young generation of potential stars. For the postgraduate student who is central to every ISP conference, the Scientific Committee will provide ample opportunity to present papers and posters. Senior academics from the region like Professor Mark Bartold (Australia), Professor Isao Ishikawa (Japan) and many others will be part of the multifaceted program. Key speakers from India and the Asian Pacific rim countries like Korea, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Philippines, Singapore, China, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Brunei, Indonesia and the Middle East will also participate. Preconference courses will provide an elaborate opportunity to delve into contemporary topics in greater depth.
