A note from our President…

It is hard to believe that the year is almost over! We have held our last Council meeting of 2023 and I have officially handed over the Presidential Chain to Professor Philip Preshaw, who will now lead the Society in 2024. I have no doubts that Philip will do an excellent job, supported as ever by our management team and dedicated members of Council.

We have achieved a lot this year and are continuing to work on some projects into next year. We hope that you have felt supported but please do get in touch if you feel that there are any other useful ways in which we can support you or your patients.

I very much hope that you all get the opportunity to take a well-deserved break from work and caring for your patients, to enjoy spending some downtime with your family and friends over the holiday period.

I intend to send a final farewell email to the membership before the end of my term. In the meantime, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for allowing me the honour of being your President this year. I wish you and your family an enjoyable break and send my very best wishes to you all for a happy and healthy 2024.
