Webinar - S3 Level Clinical Guideline for peri-implant diseases: Management of Peri-implantitis - non-surgical therapy

The webinar is free for all members and non members.

Bookings will close at midday on Monday 16 September.

Registering instructions will be sent out on Monday 16 September, as you need to register with Zoom (a quick and simple process).  After registering you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar on the evening.

Only the first 500 participants to log in on the evening will be able to participate in the live event.  

However, booked participants will be able to view the webinar after the event on the BSP website.  You will be notified when the recorded presentation is available for viewing.

1.5 hours CPD is offered to all delegates who have booked and viewed the webinar. Bookings must have been made through the BSP website, non-members will need their booking reference number to obtain CPD. Evaluation form and CPD certificates will be available after the event on the website.

  • To review options for non-surgical treatment of peri-implantitis

  • To provide an evidence-based update on the non-surgical treatment modalities for peri-implantitis, as proposed by the EFP and BSP

  • Be able to prepare treatment plans which can follow the proposed EFP and BSP guidelines when carrying out non-surgical therapy of peri-implantitis

Biography

Professor Luigi Nibali

Professor Luigi Nibali is Professor/Honorary Consultant, Academic Lead and Director of the EFP-approved Postgraduate programme in Periodontology at King’s College London (KCL), based at Guy’s Hospital. He is also Lead of the Centre for Host-Microbiome Interactions and co Lead of the Oral Clinical Research Unit at KCL. He had been awarded MSc and PhD in Periodontology at University College London and previously worked as Clinical Lecturer and then Reader in Periodontology at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute and at Queen Mary University of London and was Honorary Professor at Hong Kong University. 

Professor Nibali has widely published in the medical and dental literature, is the author of two books in periodontology and received several international research prizes. He has been in the editorial board of several dental and periodontal journals and is currently Associate Editor of the Journal of Clinical Periodontology. He has been active within the EFP, taking part in workshops leading to EFP treatment guidelines for periodontal and peri-implant therapy. Professor Nibali is currently part of the BSP Council. His research interests range from periodontal medicine, genetics and microbial aetiopathogenesis and minimally-invasive periodontal treatment of intrabony defects and furcations.
