The Oral Health Summit 2025

In 2025, Professor Nicola West will be the President of the British Society of Periodontology and Implant Denistry (BSP). For her Presidential Conference, Nicola will be holding a joint meeting with the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy entitled: The Oral Health Summit. The BSP will also be collaborating with the British Society for Oral and Dental Research at this event. The resulting collaborations promise to deliver the largest UK dental conference of the year focusing on the latest
innovations in periodontology, implant dentistry, and oral health.

Taking place at the prestigious Edinburgh International Conference Centre from 28 to 29 November 2025 (with additional BSP workshops on 27 November) the event will offer a dynamic scientific programme, exploring topics such as perioystemic connections, risk profiling, regenerative techniques, and supportive care.

Attendees will have the chance to hear from internationally renowned speakers, including the keynote speaker Otto Zuhr, Giulio Rasperini, István Urban and Anton Sculean. The highly anticipated “A Pint of Science” session will feature a lively debate on the microbiome, with contributions from Professors Mike Curtis, Phil Marsh, and Iain Chapple.
